Description
Tencha tea leaves are covered from the sun a month prior to harvest which increases the chlorophyll levels and adds to the sugar content of the buds and leaves. It is then steamed, dried then de-stemmed and de-veined before being put into pneumatic mortar/pestles that pulverize the leaf until it is a powder so fine it almost dissolves in water. Matcha can be mixed with cold or hot water with no loss of nutrient, caffeine, antioxidants or flavour because you ingest the entire leaf. This is one of the ‘healthiest’ drink in the place…

Mad Hat A Tea Company’s Matcha is on the low end of matchas when compared to Teavanas Matcha. The vibrancy of Mad Hats matcha is dark and probably was not processed with as much care as Teavanas Matcha. If you compare side to side the two matches you can easily tell the difference. Mad Hats Matcha is cheaper and like usual you get what you pay for.

Contrary to the other review I read here I loved this matcha. It was a great color and had a perfect matcha taste while being not to expensive. Perfect for the typical matcha drinker in my opinion!
