My first experience upon being introduced to this tea can be summed up with the word euphoric. Was not expecting the unmistakable scent of plums emanating from the beverage. The flavor profile of the tea can be likened to that of a delicate Darjeeling black tea. However, no sugar is necessary as the natural sweetness of the brew coupled with the smell of plums allows it to be enjoyed without milk or additional sweetener. I have tried other Yunnan black teas from the Asian supermarkets but they do not possess the same magnificent smell coming from this treasure.
