When foreigners and locals alike speak about the “Top Ten Teas” of China this is always on the list and last time i checked, which was just now, it is the only Black Tea listed. A relatively short history only going back to the 1870s where it gained a huge popularity in Europe. It is a fragrant Tea that is excellent after dinner. Hao Ya A is the cream of the crop.

Well balanced black tea. Much like the reviews for Keemun tea from other sources the Keemun Hao Ya possesses an unmistakable odor of nuttiness. However, the smell is not overpowering and complements the other elements in the bouquet. The flavor profile is an equally satisfying blend of an initial subtle smoky nuttiness and finishes off with gardenia. Overall, an excellent and smooth tasting black tea to have on a daily basis.

This is the reason why I drink black tea. Keemum Hao Ya is so satisfying: rich and nutty with floral subtleties that make my mouth water every morning I enjoy it with a dash of cream. My life is full again knowing that this tea is back in stock!
